The course will include many shooting techniques and advanced camera features that will improve the quality of your video. This class will explore problems using both Point & Shoot and digital SLR cameras. We will be covering the various exposure modes, JPEG and RAW, balancing foreground and background, flash and available light. The class will also discuss ratio lighting, directional lighting and some of the more creative lighting techniques that require accurate exposure.

Rebreather 101: Everything you Want to Know But Were Afraid to Ask • Instructor: Richie Kohler & Tara Thomson • Schedule: Sunday, 9:00am – 12:00pm • Room: Donald E. Stephens Convention Center • Price: $75.00 • Description: Join CCR Instructors Richie & Tara for a 3 hour workshop and hands on look at some of the closed circuit rebreathers available today. This “mini class” touches the history, details and the design and explains function and components of closed circuit rebreather’s in plain language. We will dispel the myths and answer the questions that sport divers have when considering the switch to “silent diving”. The Rebreather manufacturers’ units will be available for side by side “hands on” comparisons. This is not a “techie” program. It’s open to sport divers looking for warmer, longer dives! Participants can opt to join Carrie and Richie for a private “CCR try & dive” scheduled for this summer (details at workshop).

Stephens Convention Center • Price: $75.00 • Descripton: When speaking with visuals, you must convey your story with images. Research, planning, anticipating and visualizing before getting wet will allow you to create better images no matter which camera and editing system you are using. Film producer Annie Crawley will help you learn the basics of video production and show you how easy shooting and editing go hand in hand. Annie will demonstrate how to take your video from camera to computer, build a short program and then export it so you would be able to share with friends. This is not just for underwater photographers!
